he fabric is Tsumugi (pongee silk) and has a breezy feel to the skin. There is much minute fraying on the sleeves, but since the material is black, it is not very noticeable. This is also one of the features of Tsumugi fabric that give it its character. Oshima-tsumugi is a scarce, expensive material, but since there is soiling and stains on the outer material, we can offer it at a reasonable price. Although there are stains in several locations on the inner material, it is in good condition with no discoloring.

繊維は紬で、清々しい肌ざわりです。袖部分に細かい『ほつれ』が多々見られますが、生地が黒なのでそんなには目立ちません。またこれは紬の特徴でもあり味わいでもあります。大島紬は貴重で高価な生地ですが、表地にシミや汚れが多いためリーズナブルな価格でご提供いたします。裏地は数カ所のシミはあるものの、変色もなく良いコンディションです。
